What causes a sore throat?

A sore throat is a common condition that typically resolves on its own within a week. Most cases are caused by viral infections, while bacterial infections are less common. Sore throats can also be linked to several other health conditions. Our pharmacists will assess your symptoms to help determine the likely cause.
